The cyber space - activist platform?!

So several connections are flashing every week, friends across the world get inspired by each others' activities, actions and plans, and this all makes a chain which is what we need for a change.
And it was very nice to think of those flashing ideas and acts that don't even require us to be near, we can do it being thousands of kilometers far from each other. A hundred years ago there was no such thing as cyber activism. Now there is. Doesn't it mean we are responsible to use it to prevent what the people of early times couldn't prevent? For example - violence!
